| The California Culinary
Academy is located in the culinary capital of San Francisco, California.

access to endless opportunities for both their personal and professional
enrichment.
Founded as one the West's first culinary education institution, the California Culinary Academy is passionately dedicated to providing every student and graduate the highest standard of culinary education available today. Their faculty and staff are exemplary models of quality and integrity committed to furthering the values of life-long learning in the culinary arts. The Academy's Educational Services Department offers a broad menu of services to guide students through their culinary careers. From orientation through graduation, the Academy provides support that caters to a diverse student body, whether they're pursuing second careers or beginning the realization of long-held dreams. The Career Services Department offers assistance with resume writing, interviewing techniques, job listings, career fairs, and on-campus recruitment. Historic California Hall, situated in San Francisco's Civic Center district, houses the Academy's lecture classrooms and commercial kitchens. These include baking and pastry kitchens, confiseries, garde manger kitchens, butcheries, professional production kitchens, and fully equipped demonstration kitchens. Full-service, student-staffed restaurants serve both lunch and dinner. Students gain hands-on experience in California Culinary Academy's production and pastry kitchens that are designed to support their restaurants and retail outlet. Other distinctive classroom facilities at the Academy include a Basic Skills Laboratory designed to facilitate development of fundamental culinary skills, a computer classroom with a network of individual student workstations for learning menu layout and recipe costing, and the Academy Library which houses an extensive inventory of culinary periodicals, texts, and videos to supplement classroom and kitchen instruction. For students and visitors to the Academy, the Retail Store offers an assortment of culinary tools, cookbooks, accessories, and take-out foods.
